Andrew Bolt's comments on the Homeless World Cup is one of his poorest efforts in trying to say something controversial about a topic and or subject he obviously knows little about. It is a very poor attempt at journalism and is poorly researched.

Here is a stat that he should have included: "A study of players form previous Homeless World Cups has shown that over 70 per cent of players significantly change their lives, including finding employment and accommodation, coming off drugs and alcohol and reconnecting with their families."

See Andrew Bolt, playing football does make a difference and its not always about the money.

I was in Melbourne just before the homeless WC started and it looked like they had a pretty good setup there. Afghanistan winning is a great story as well. These sorts of events are also good in that they demonstrate just how much bigger football is than just the professional game.. Football is a whole universe in itself, as the great Bob Marley once said.

What do you think of Andrew Bolts comments regarding Homeless World Cup (herald sun, 12/12)? Is it justified?
