It is a very poor attempt at journalism and is poorly researched. Here is a stat that he should have included: "A study of players form previous Homeless World Cups has shown that over 70 per cent of players significantly change their lives, including finding employment and accommodation, coming off drugs and alcohol and reconnecting with their families." See Andrew Bolt, playing football does make a difference and its not always about the money. Afghanistan winning is a great story as well. These sorts of events are also good in that they demonstrate just how much bigger football is than just the professional game..
